Oh, I just realized I never showed the finished picture of the guy sitting in a field. This ended up being one of the works I submitted in my portfolio for the Scholastic Art awards.

Progress on this painting I’ve been working on for a teacher.

Okay wow I haven’t put up anything in ages, and to boot, all the time I’ve got right now is to put up some sketches I did while waiting at a cafe with part of my filming crew, because our camera guy overslept. Hah.

Part of a painting I started today. Initial sketch has turned out completely different from what I expected. I’m painting on wood, and I want to leave some of it peaking through, but I’m seeing how I sort of have to plan these things in advance. I’ve already messed up the face, so now I have to sand part of it and do it right.

Recently got a pocket-sized Moleskine to doodle junk in.

Because I accidentally poured out too much paint for something else, and didn’t want to waste it.

Actually, I was remembering this woman who used to tutor me when I was 10. She had long silvery hair, and one day she cut it all off. I can still imagine her brushing her hand over her short hair.

So recently I got some inspiration to do a painting. Started it yesterday.

Currently, he’s looking a bit too mopey for my liking, so I figure I’ll brighten it up some, and give him a reason to put a smile on his pouty face.
